    We went this evening for dinner, and I should have reconsidered due to the lack of patrons in the resturant, however we like to support local businesses when possible and I thought it may just be people were at home for the superbowl. I don't know if this was an off day, but the whole meal was less than appetizing. My family ordered an appetizer to share, seems everything was pre-bought and served luke warm and extra greasy. My little one ordered a hamburger , and I hate to say we would have been better off going to McDonald's.... the spaghetti plate my other daughter requested looked, smelled and tasted like stringy, watered down spaghetti-o type slop, we exchanged that for a pathetic hamburger as anything had to be better than that.... Towards the end of our "meal", something started burning in the back, smoke filled the resturant with a stench that made my eyes burn. There was no courtesy explanation or apology from our waitress, (we had to hunt her down a few times for forgotten items & to switch the entree).... unacceptable as I counted only 2 familes in the entire resturant besides mine. I was incensed from the poor treatment and lack of quality at this resturant. I can take the food was not to our liking, but that combined with the lack of service - I would have given this a 0 star rating if I could. Maybe its best to stick with breakfast, but you couldn't pay me to return to that establishment.

    Second time that my family have visited this place and not sure if it could get better but each time it seams as thought it had. Went on a Sunday right as the church crowd got there but we didn't have to wait long to get sat. There were about 10 of us and I swear we ordered different stuff from all over the menu. I got the chicken fried chicken with slaw and carrots. The portions were big and everything was very good. Our waitress Britney took care of is like a pro. Why not five stars you may ask. It was due to the fact that the main courses came out kind of staggered. I'm sure it had something to due with how big our party was but it should all come out together. Other that than a small party would be had pressed to find better food anywhere else. This place was an A+++ and I would love to go back.

    My family decided to visit on Sunday morning after church. They were very busy, with that said I will not go anywhere else for breakfast. The service was awesome, the food was great.

    We go to the apple barrel about once a month. The food is always good, whether you get the breakfast or the dinner. The chicken fried chicken is very good! Pancakes or waffles are always done well, and the bacon and eggs are usually spot on also. They have a very wide variety of food to offer but I would definitely recommend the breakfast or home style food. I have not had spaghetti or any of the wide range of food to speak of its quality. The main reason why I do not rank the restaurant higher is the staff. While they are all very friendly, you never know what kind of service you will get. 1 or two of the waitresses are awesome. However, there are also those who are among the worst. There are times I've gotten my food in a short amount of time, but for each time that has happened I have had a long wait time the next. More than once I have had to wait well over 30 minutes for my food, whereas the table next to me that arrived later than me got their food and left. It's a shame that the sometimes poor service drags down this otherwise great restaurant. We keep going back because of the food but we would be even more regular if the service was better.

    Apple Barrel Cafe is a good option for breakfast in Broken Arrow. They offer the usual, as well as blueberry pancakes, waffles, cinnamon rolls and omelets of all types. I can't say as the food is awesome, but it is definitely good for the price. The atmosphere is cozy, home-dining type, and the service is good. There is a room for groups, but they are picky on who can use it. Apparently, they have a lamp that requires too much electric, so they don't put groups in the room unless they have too. We have been disappointed because of this. One time they stuck several of us in a back cubby and it was terrible getting in and out. Not a good time. Other than that, I don't have any complaints. If you are looking for a reasonable breakfast, this is a good choice.

    Never again. The worst service I have experienced in my life. Three orders at our table were completely forgotten. We had to ask repeatedly for refills and for our dinners salads that came with our meals. When we asked for the manager she didn't want to do anything to correct the issues. Beware future customers.

    Breakfast review only!!!!! Took my daughter to breakfast on a Sat morning and it was great. The staff were above average courteous the whole time. I appreciate when wait staff doesnt pre-judge someone coming in with a child and think that every child will destroy the place. Mine won't. My coffee never got below half a cup before she was back to top her off. Excellent coffee by the way, I think I drank half a pot! The food was good but not amazing. The prices were a little high for breakfast but the portions were enormous! I will most certainly be back and bring the wife next time. I love supporting local business.
